was born and raised in Daejeon, South Korea. After the sinking of MV Sewol, a maritime incident that took the lives of hundreds of students in 2014, he pursued journalism, which has been his passion ever since. 

Ranging from a Ukrainian rally amid the fourth anniversary of the war to the discussions about AI usage following the Tumbler Ridge shooting, Jonah has covered not just the story but also the lives of the people throughout his career. 

His colleagues describe him as a journalist who “presents story piches on his own initiative” and is “skilled at chasing relevant voices and drafting comprehensive article.”  

He enhanced his expertise in Broadcast Journalism at the British Columbia Institute of Technology after getting a Ontario Secondary School Diploma.
